Sir, I have heard tales of your skill at smithing, and I was hoping that I could beseech your aid in making a mechanical creature? It is intended to be somewhat small, but it also is intended to--be less of a weapon, and more of a guardian? A defender, should she who it protects be attacked.
I do, as a matter of fact. Would it be easier if I just delivered my schematics? I do not have them on this device, I fear.
I plan to make two, and will supply you accordingly. Neither lady who is to receive them has much in the way of martial prowess, though one does have some skill in magic. I plan to enchant them both so they can at least give them some time to get away, should some creature endanger them. I simply have no skill in metalworking, to create the housing.
Yeah, bring them over and I can take a look at them.
Depending on what you want them to be made out of, I might have something already laying around. You can always take a look at what I have when you bring the schematics by. Do you know how to enchant or were you planning on paying the one here? Their prices are pretty steep, in case you were thinking of going to them.
I'm free most of the time, so drop by and I can show you what I've got and I have some samples of other things I can get my hands on but just don't have a lot of.
I studied enchanting with them but if you were interested in teaching, we can consider that payment for building these two things.
I shall. And if it's at all possible that I may teach my version of enchanting here, I shall. Resources seem to be a bit scarce on the ground, though I doubt that comes as a surprise.
Then again, I imagine the fae would be rather cross at me were I to set about disenchanting anything I could get my grubby little claws upon. I might dust something important without knowing, and I would rather not do that.
If you can, you can consider me interested. I've been trying to learn skills I can use for my work, so I won't turn down anything that might be useful.
Resources aren't that bad to get if you know how to find them. I've got a network of contacts that I've been building, but it does come with a lot of labor on my part.
Fair enough. I probably should have been paying more attention to that.
Well, I shall do my best to teach you well, when you become my student.
Ah, but my friend, we both know sometimes it's better to beg forgiveness than to ask permission, no?
Also...should Miss Rikku ask to see my blueprints--our blueprints, now--would you allow her to see them? I have a feeling, let us say, that it will be something to pique her interest.
You sound a lot like my partner. He said something similar the day we met, and I spent a lot of time after that asking for forgiveness after jumping headfirst into things.
Sure, yeah. She and I work together often anyway, so if she asks, I can let her take a look.

Is that amenable to you?

When you say defending, what were you thinking it can do?

And no, I think not. No need to pay through the nose when I can accomplish the enchantments myself, no?
